Brown stain

No view welcomed
Ray Kelley

No freedom of speech on College Hill.

Crowd shouts down Ray Kelley.

No forum at Brown for opposing views?

Brown University students show their " true colors" by not allowing invited guest NYPD Commish Ray Kelley to give a speech he was invited to give. The rich, spoiled," liberal elites" students decided his views on policing were not " correct", so they destroyed the forum Kelley was to speak in,Brown Daily herald . The President at Brown had to convene a forum to explain why this was wrong? No student was arrested, removed , or asked to leave the Kelley event. Why is it considered " cool" at Brown to disrespect police? Follow DePetro.com for the latest.

Taveras dives into race

From " head start " to "head first" into the race

Angel is " first one in the pool" of democrats.

Takes shot at Raimondo and " Wall Street".

Raimondo sets fundraising record.

Pell " seriously" looking at race.

Providence Mayor Angel Taveras made it official  (Is Angel ready to fly?) and dove " head first " into the race for governor of Rhode Island. Taveras is a tremendous self made success story who took the city by storm and has guided through a financial " storm". Mayor Angel will have his work cut out for him in what will become a 3-way democrat primary. Gina Raimondo has raised $2.3 million compared to $700,000 for Taveras. Clay Pell is set to announce his entry into the race in the next 30 days. The campaign is underway and will be bruising between Taveras and Raimondo. Will Ken Block Fung?

Block becomes a former"Moderate" Republican.

Future of GOP at stake.

Can " Kenny from the Block " beat the " Cranston Kid"?

2 could become 3?

All aboard the primary train. Ken Block makes a smart political move by jumping into a GOP primary against Cranston Mayor Alan Fung. Fung seemed to have a clear path to the general election but Block dropped his " Moderate Party" and joined the state Republican Party. Here comes the block.. Fung is still the party favorite and the Mayor has a solid background. But Block creates problems for Fung and has learned the game. Block jumping in could also open the door for a " pro-life" candidate to join the field, since both Fung and Block are " choice" candidates.

Follow DePetro.com for all the action.

Block is no laughing matter
