Letter to President Bush

The President
The White House
Washington, DC 20500
Dear Mr. President:
Please permit me to add my thanks and congratulations
to the millions you have and are receiving for all that
you have done in standing up for America and leading the
just war to liberate Iraq and put an end to Saddam Hussein
evil regime.
Your unwavering support for Operation Iraqi Freedom displayed
extraordinary courage, intellect, integrity and love of
our country. Your leadership is matched by people in your
Cabinet responsible for conducting the war including Vice
President Dick Cheney, Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld,
Secretary of State Colin Powell, and National Security
Adviser Condoleezza Rice. They, along with those who worked
with them, especially the U.S. and all the Coalition military
forces led by General Tommy Franks, deserve the thanks
and applause of the American people for achieving the
brilliant victories we have seen thus far.
British Prime Minister Tony Blair is one person you have
singled out time and again during Operation Iraqi Freedom
for the enormous support he has shown in providing support
for the U.S. position at the United Nations, as well as
armed forces, material resources, and continual emotional
support in his bracing, brilliant speeches in the British
Parliament and elsewhere in the world, often at great
political risk to himself. Mr. Blair deserves special
recognition for the unique partnership that he has provided
to you in his capacity as Prime Minister.
I propose that you consider awarding Tony Blair honorary
U.S. citizenship. President Kennedy bestowed that honor
on Sir Winston Churchill in 1963. I also propose that
you award him with the Presidential Medal of Freedom.
In addition, I suggest that Congress award high honors
to Prime Minister Blair, including the Congressional Gold
Medal which it bestowed on Churchill in 1969, and that
he be invited to speak before a joint session of Congress.
All the best.
Sincerely,
Edward I. Koch

Katie Couric: 'Hopefully' Saddam Made It to Syria |
|
NewsMax.com
Thursday,
April 10, 2003 1:32 p.m. EST
Katie Couric:
'Hopefully' Saddam Made It to Syria
Is perky "Today" show host Katie Couric actually
rooting for Saddam Hussein to survive the U.S. military's
repeated attempts to take him out?
It sure sounded that way during a report she delivered
on the fate of the Baghdad Butcher yesterday.
While chatting about Saddam with NBC's Pentagon correspondent,
Jim Miklaszewski, the multimillion-dollar morning host
asked whether U.S. officials had been able to "confirm
reports he was taken to Tikrit, and then Mosul, and then
hopefully to Syria."
Hopefully?
Surely Couric didn't mean to suggest that she actually
hoped the brutal dictator would escape justice by fleeing
to another terrorist-sponsoring state.
Or did she?
The full exchange went like this:
COURIC: Mik, we only have a few seconds left. But quickly,
anymore information about Saddam Hussein's fate?
MIKLASZEWSKI: Not at all. Wild speculation. But U.S. officials
insist they still don't know what happened when - after
they bombed that site in western Baghdad earlier this
week.
COURIC: So, they haven't been able to confirm reports
he was taken to Tikrit, and then Mosul, and then hopefully
to Syria.
MIKLASZEWSKI: That - that's very unlikely considering
the kind of U.S. forces that are arrayed up there.
COURIC: OK, Mik. Thanks.

I
DON'T MAKE IT A HABIT TO LISTEN TALK SHOWS , BUT SINCE
09/11 I HAVE BEEN LISTENING ON AND OFF FROM TIME TO TIME
. I SPEND MY DAYS BEHIND THE WHEEL OF A BUS SO I DON'T
HAVE THE TIME TO CALL AND AM POSSIBLY THE ONLY PERSON
THAT DOESN'T HAVE A CELL PHONE. I WOULD LIKE TO SAY YOUR
COVERAGE OF THE STATION FIRE AND THE NUMEROUS PEOPLE INCLUDING
YOURSELF EFFECTED BY THIS TRAGERTY WAS EXCELLENT. YOUR
COVERED ON THE WAR HAS BEEN OUTSTANDING INCLUDING THOSE
PEOPLE AND ELECTED OFFICALS WHO STILL THINK WE SHOULD
BE TAKING AFTER WHAT HAS BEEN ACCOMPLISHED IN SUCH A SHORT
TIME SHOULD TAKE A LOOK IN THE MIRROR TO SEE EXCATLY WHAT
THEY HAVE AND WHAT THEY COULD LOSE IF IT WASN'T FOR THE
MEN AND WOMEN WHO ARE DOING WHAT OUR PRESIDENT HAS ASKED
OF THEM TO ENSURE THAT OUR WAY OF LIFE IS PROTECTED. I
HAVE ONE SUGGESTION WHEN IT COME TIME TO PUT TOGETHER
A TEAM OF PEOPLE TO START PUTTING IRAQ TOGETHER THAT LAWYER
THAT HELPED RESCUE PVT. LYNCH SHOULD BE PART OF THE TEAM
AS HE IS A GENUINE PERSON AND CARES FOR HIS COUNTRY KEEP
UP THE GOOD WORK I'LL BE LISTENING TOMORROW

Hanoi JANE |
|
I
was in Ban Me Thuot actively involved in the Fall Offensive
when Jan, the Traitoress, was in Hanoi wooing the North
Vietnamese. We all had a good idea of what was going on
as she was trying to give comfort to the enemy. I don't
know how to sack her but I hope someone does.

KEEP
THIS MOVING; ACROSS AMERICA HONORING A TRAITOR
This
is for all the kids born in the 70's that do not remember
this, and didn't have to bear the burden, that our fathers,
mothers, and older brothers and sisters had to bear. Jane
Fonda is being honored as one of the "100 Women of
the Century." Unfortunately, many have forgotten
and still countless others have never known how Ms. Fonda
betrayed not only the idea of our country but specific
men who served and sacrificed during Vietnam.
The first part of this is from an F-4E pilot. The pilot's
name is Jerry Driscoll, a River Rat. In 1968, the former
Commandant of the USAF Survival School was a POW in Ho
Lo Prison-the "Hanoi Hilton." Dragged from a
stinking cesspit of a cell, cleaned, fed, and dressed
in clean PJ's, he was ordered to describe for a visiting
American "Peace Activist" the "lenient
and humane treatment" he'd received. He spat at Ms.
Fonda, was clubbed, and dragged away.
During the subsequent beating, he fell forward upon the
camp Commandant's feet, which sent that officer berserk.
In '78, the AF Col. still suffered from double vision
(which permanently ended his flying days) from the Vietnamese
Col.'s frenzied application of a wooden baton. From 1963-65,
Col. Larry Carrigan was in the 47FW/DO (F-4E's). He spent
6 years in the "Hilton"- the first three of
which he was "missing in action". His wife lived
on faith that he was still alive. His group, too, got
the cleaned, fed, clothed routine in preparation for a
"peace delegation" visit.
They, however, had time and devised a plan to get word
to the world that they still survived. Each man secreted
a tiny piece of paper, with his SSN on it, in the palm
of his hand. When paraded before Ms. Fonda and a cameraman,
she walked the line, shaking each man's hand and asking
little encouraging snippets like: "Aren't you sorry
you bombed babies?" and "Are you grateful for
the humane treatment from your benevolent captors?"
Believing this HAD to be an act, they each palmed her
their sliver of paper.
She took them all without missing a beat. At the end of
the line and once the camera stopped rolling, to the shocked
disbelief of the POWs, she turned to the officer in charge
and handed him the little pile of papers. Three men died
from the subsequent beatings. Col. Carrigan was almost
number four but he survived, which is the only reason
we know about her actions that day.
I was a civilian economic development advisor in Vietnam,
and was captured by the North Vietnamese communists in
South Vietnam in 1968, and held for over 5 years. I spent
27 months in solitary confinement, one year in a cage
in Cambodia, and one year in a "black box" in
Hanoi. My North Vietnamese captors deliberately poisoned
and murdered a female missionary, a nurse in a leprosarium
in Ban me Thuot, South Vietnam, whom I buried in the jungle
near the Cambodian border.
At one time, I was weighing approximately 90 lbs. (My
normal weight is 170 lbs.) We were Jane Fonda's "war
criminals."
When Jane Fonda was in Hanoi, I was asked by the camp
communist political officer if I would be willing to meet
with Jane Fonda. I said yes, for I would like to tell
her about the real treatment we POWs received different
from the treatment purported by the North Vietnamese,
and parroted by Jane Fonda, as "humane and lenient."
Because of this, I spent three days on a rocky floor on
my knees with outstretched arms with a large amount of
steel placed on my hands, and beaten with a bamboo cane
till my arms dipped.
I had the opportunity to meet with Jane Fonda for a couple
of hours after I was released. I asked her if she would
be willing to debate me on TV. She did not answer me.
This does not exemplify someone who should be honored
as part of "100 Years of Great Women." Lest
we forget..."100 years of great women" should
never include a traitor whose hands are covered with the
blood of so many patriots. There are few things I have
strong visceral reactions to, but Hanoi Jane's participation
in blatant treason, is one of them.
Please take the time to forward to as many people as you
possibly can. It will eventually end up on her computer
and she needs to know that we will never forget.

More humourous storie about Rhode Island |
|
Hey
pal, who was Fanny? I was just down in Texas with my family
and I went to the Black Beauty Ranch. We found a great
Rhode Island embarrassment. This write up says it all.
Do you know when this was shut down 1993, cruelty for
animals has been going strong since the mid 70's, what
took your citizens so long. This is a city park that was
putting this animal on display for public viewing with
taxpayer money. Such an enlightened liberal state such
as yours, so civilized you treat an animal this way, how
do you treat each other?
I
know you do not know how to treat visitors. I never expected
to here this line but I did in Providence, "You can't
get there from here". This person was serious. With proper
planning a person could walk from Washington, D.C. to
Beijing, China, so don't tell me I can't get to some place
in Providence, RI.
You
can embellish about all the restaurants that you have
to offer, but what they really should be called are pasta
houses. What is the story about the board of health has
not been in many of these eateries in 4 years. I use the
term eateries very loosely. I was stuck at the Capital
Grille and the Westin for many of my meals, I usually
like to try the local flavors, somebody told me go to
Federal Hill and up by Brown. One look at these dumps
and back to the hotel.
My
firm just finished shutting down operations in your state
and I am in an area that knows hospitality. As you should
know the state motto for Texas is friendship while your
state motto is hope. You better keep hoping someone allows
your state to grow or you will become desperate. Let's
hope when I come back to do the mop up of the closing
your people have been taught how to behave in an appropriate
business manner.
Tara,
formerly known as Fanny, is an Asian elephant who lived
35 years chained by her legs at the seedy Slater Park
Zoo in Pawtucket, Rhode Island. Pawtuckians got the roadside
zoo shut down, and Fanny came to Black Beauty Ranch with
a new name as part of her new life.
When
Tara arrived at Black Beauty, our resident African elephant,
Conga, came out of the elephant barn to see what all the
fuss was about. Neither Conga nor Tara had seen another
elephant in the last several decades, and the two species
-- African and Asian elephants -- traditionally do not
get along. But as they got closer, Conga lifted her trunk
to extend a greeting. The two elephants entwined their
trunks together, and Tara had at long last found freedom
and a friend.
Since Tara's arrival, we now have a third elephant on
the scene at Black Beauty Ranch -- a baby African elephant
named Babe who had lived nine years in a circus, forced
to perform tricks with two broken legs and a mishapen
head. Expert veterinarians are helping Babe's legs to
recovery, and the three girls are all getting along fine!
Auuuh, why don't you just come out and say what the real
reason is that you keep degrading the people of R.I.!
Are you bored? Do you not have a life? Looking for a job
and cannot compete with the people of R.I.? Cannot fit
in with the people of R.I.? Got fired from a job in R.I.?
Jealous of the people of R.I.? I mean come on, people
just don't stick their noses where they don't belong and
degrade people without having a reason for doing so! My
fingers are getting tired! Please just state your real
reasons! We won't laugh!

Hi
John,
I don't know if you heard, but the Baseball Hall of Fame
was supposed to have an event marking the anniversary
of "Bull Durham", but cancelled it as they said
that Tim Robbins' and Susan urandon's criticism of the
President undermined our war effort, gave aid and comfort
to the enemy, and put our troops in danger. Good for the
Hall of Fame.
In response, Robbins' said he didn't know baseball was
Republican... someone should him its not republican, it's
AMERICAN.

"We're too belligerent." |
|
Hi
John-
Chafee
just doesn't seem to get it! He just said "We're too belligerent."
He said President Bush was said to be "macho." Unlike
HIMSELF...a wimp! The UN will never be what it should
be...Libya in charge of Human Rights?!!! Let Mr. Chafee
fix the UN since it's not working. It's a little more
than just not working! And there will always be political
reasons for countries voting against the United States
in the UN.
He's
saying we look arrogant. What are the ramifications, hatred
etc!??? We didn't cause the real hatred. The real hatred
has been and is being taught for decades in their schools
and in their mosques. The children and brought into this
world hating Americans and Jews! We're not the ones that
need to change. Until the Arab world takes a look at themselves
we don't have a chance gaining friends over there.
On GMA this morning they showed several Iraqi people from
Dearborn, Michigan. One of them had not spoken with his
family for many years because of fear that they would
be hurt by Sadaam. Doesn't Chafee listen to what has really
been going on in Sadaam's regime? We DO need to step in
and stop these brutal regimes, no matter what the rest
of the world thinks of us. It IS the right thing. It's
so frustrating to hear our IGNORANT VA Senator!

Supporting Our Troops |

Something
you may want to make your listeners aware of. This was
sent to me by two mothers who have daughters in Iraq.
Thanks
---------------------------------------------------
If you
are interested please wear red on Fridays. Thank you,
Mary
Subject: FW: Supporting Our Troops
Ladies and Gentlemen:
It has come to my attention that quite a few Americans
support our troops but as usual we are the silent majority.
We are not organized to really reflect who we are. I would
like to start a grass roots movement using the membership
of the Special Operations Association and the Special
Forces Association to recognize Americans who support
our troops. My idea is not to stand on street corners
once or twice, not to carry stupid signs in a rally, not
to carry our flag in parades. Its much simpler than that.
We need to inform the local VFW's and American Legion,
our local press, local TV, and even up to the national
levels as we start to get this going. My idea of showing
our solidarity and support for our troops is that starting
Friday and continuing on each and every Friday, that we
and every red blooded American who supports our young
men and women, WEAR SOMETHING RED.
Word of mouth, press, TV, lets see if we can make the
United States, on any given Friday, a sea of red much
like a home football game at the University of Nebraska.
If every one of our memberships share this with other
acquaintances, fellow workers, drinking buddies, country
club friends, I guarantee you that it will not be long
before the USA will be covered in Red much to the disdain
of the un-American ralliers.
Lets get the word out and lead by example, wear RED on
Fridays. Thanks for your time and consideration of my
proposal. When I get home, I intend to send this out to
everyone on my e-mail list, hopefully, you will too.

Regarding the comments made by Senator Chafee |

Regarding
the comments made by Senator Chafee about Canada, I think
that he should know that 80% of English-speaking Canadians
are very angry and embarrassed that the Canadian government
did not help the US. As far as the French-Canadians behaving
so badly, they should not forget that the reason they
sleep well at night is because they live next to the friendly
giant who would come to their help in a minute. As a French-Canadian,
I am ashamed.

Maybe when he sees that nobody at all supports him, he'll

More against the anti-war movement |
|
John,
I can't believe the attitude of people like Congressman
Langevin. I continue to hear liberals say it is a "dangerous
precident" for the US to make a unilateral attack on Iraq
without worldwide support. The issue is not who supports
Operation Iraqi Freedom, but whether Operation Iraqi Freedom
is right, just and morale. If the use of force to free
the the Iraqi people is a morraly just cause then it does
not matter whether France, Russia and Germany are with
us. It is a "good precedent" to fight for what is right
and just regardless of who supports you. The converse
is also true, if this is an unjust war it does matter
if the whole world including France, North Korea and Iran
supported us it would still be wrong. It is a "dangerous
precident" to fight for an immorale cause regardless of
who supports it. After the events of yesterday, I'm not
sure how anyone can say this is an unjust war.
Many people in this country still claim this is an unjust
war, but they support our troops. For them I would like
to point out that it was established after WWII that soldiers
were culpable for his or her actions. Stating they were
following orders of a immorale leaders was not enough
to abstain them from guilt. We all agree the Nazi soldiers
guilty of murdering innocent Jews in WWII. If this is
an immoral unjust war, aren't US soldiers purposely murdering
innocent Republican gaurd troops, not to mention the unintended
collateral damage. If this war is just about oil money
for President Bush and Vice President Chenney's friend's
aren't our soldiers just paid assassins. I'm not sure
how these liberals justify their position. Maybe you could
ask one?
Regards!

Unpatriots |
|
John,
I listen to you often and do not always agree with you
but respect your passion and quest for knowledge. Lately,
I've felt you gave us the support we needed (along with
Fox News) to keep the liberal noise from being as distressing
as it could be.
I've developed some firm reactions to the un patriots:
no more a viewer of NBC (thanks to Martin Sheen, Katie
Couric, Peter Arnett among others); ditto Peter Jennings
and Dan Rather; shame on Lincoln Chafee who will never
receive a vote from this household; boycott French, German
and Russian (do they have any?)products or travel.
Unfortunately I will not be in the state Fri night for
your debate with Arlene. She has been my biggest disappointment.
I've been a fan of hers for years and listened to her
positions on Iraq for weeks but now can't listen to her
at all. That 3 week deal of hers was naive and obtuse.
Your debates such as with Leah and Corinna are a valid
idea but when they deteriorate as occurred yesterday,
I have to shut you off till the noisy confusion subsides.
What would help would be a notice that Joel or Corinna
or other such obsessed liberals are coming on so we could
mute them out.
Thanks for your efforts. God bless our brave troops and
out nation.

Profanity&Posts&Questions |
|
First
of all I want to thank you for putting my posts up on
your message board even if you always seem to put my posts
last or towards the end. With you always sideing with
the Republicans this must be hard for you to do. I was
just wondering if your hard stand with the Republicans
is just because of your position on the war or if this
will be a permanent Republican board? If you have changed
your position as the Independent man please let everyone
know so we get to know your new position better.
I
was very surprised to see that you allowed that profanity
on your message board. I will give you credit, this is
the first forum that I have been on that dosen't seem
to have any rules for profanity. Regarding profanity,
will you be posting just the Republican posts with profanity
or will everyone be allowed to post profanity? Theres
nothing to be ashamed about if you have now turned into
a Republican. I just think that you should be open about
it and let everyone know. You could call your self, the
Republican Man, change your report to the Republican Report
and use, The Republican Message Board. Or is this all
my imagination? LOL. Could you please address the following
issues?
1- Independent Man.
2- Profanity
on your boards.
3- Placing my Liberal posts last or near the end.
Trying
to understand your position better, CMM.

Andy Rooney |
|
John,
Did you hear Andy Rooney on the Imus show 4/10? It was
incredible! He actually came on the sir and said that
he thought that Muslims didn't fully appreciate democracy
and that he didn't think that this would work in Iraq.
This was in response to Imus asking him if the public
displays of affection towards the troops and Bush in the
streets of Bagdad was akin to what he saw in France after
it was liberated.
This is the most overt display of racism I've seen in
some time. Can you imagine if any conservative had made
a comment like that or equally stupid remark. Maybe he's
just getting old and senile but maybe he should reread
Lincoln's Gettysburg Address....you know the part about
"all men are created equal". There are millions
of Muslim-Americans who enjoy their freedoms each and
every day and I'm sure given the choice that there are
about 25 million in Iraq who will consider April 9th their
Independance Day. Every person on this planet is born
with the desire to be free and live in a place where liberty
and democratic principles allow for their voice to be
heard. Andy Rooney saying that Arab nations have dictators
because they don't appreciate democracy is stupid. God
Bless America!

Re: another 4/9/03 |

Well
Mr James Black, I for one want to thank you for feeling
the way you do about our great nation! Sad to say tho,
that there doesn't seem to be many that share your feelings
in your homeland. I remember seeing some polls that had
only 20% of your countrymen and women were on our side.
Thank god for Tony Blair! I can not remember any friendly
nation with such a low % of people that were on our side.
It looks like it will take many years for some of us here
to forget that. Although much of the coffee shop talk
now seems to be leaning towards, well at least they came!
Thanks again for your support! CMM.

GREAT JOKE |
|
John
I found this on the net and thought you might like it.
A
group of Iraqi soldiers are walking down the road when
they hear a voice yell out from behind a sand dune. "One
US Marine is better than one Iraqi soldier" The commander
of the Iraqi force musters his best man and sends him
over the dune, one shot is fired and then silence. A minute
later the voice calls out again.
"One
US Marine is better than 10 Iraqi soldiers" The commander
of the Iraqi force is angered and he musters 10 of his
best troops and sends them over the dune. Ten shots ring
out and then silence.. A minute passes and the voice calls
out againÉ "One US Marine is better than 1000 Iraqi soldiers"
The commander is furious, he musters the remaining troops
and sends them over the dune. A fierce fire fight eruptsÉgunfire,
rocket fire, loud screams could be heard from behind the
dune, in 10 minutes there is silence. A wounded Iraqi
soldier climbs back to his commander and saysÉ"Sir it's
a trap there are two of them"

France and Russia |
|
Hi
John
Well isn't this special.
France and Russia are now meeting to decide what their
role will be in the 'new Iraq.' And then we hear from
the UN about how they want a more important role. Really!
So, let me understand this now... They criticize and condemn
the US and UK led coalition. They put no one in harms
way. They see that we are truly liberating Iraq and this
is being watched all over the world. They are shown to
be the traitorous cowards that they are (Iraqi oil contracts
above all else) and now they think, actually have the
brass to suggest, there is a role for them? Go figure!
How about this Mr. Chirac and Mr. Putin.... Not only is
there no role for you in the post-Saddam Iraq, you not
just Saddam, have become irrelevant in global affairs.
Your opinions carry no weight, your own governments are
in a shambles, your own economy barely survives and you
are globally despised. And if either of you should need
help some day, call Mr. Anan and if he doesn't answer,
call the Security Council.
Maybe they can find something constructive for you to
do.

SUPPORT OUR TROOPS RALLY |
|
Hi
John,
I was listening earlier today on my drive into work and
I heard a woman saying that we need to give a big welcome
to our troops when they return and we need to support
them and their efforts. There is going to be a rally for
the troops:
April
16, 7:00p.m.
SUPPORT OUR TROOPS RALLY
held at the RI State House.
Please arrive by 6:30PM.
My
20-year old son, Brian, is with the 115th MP Company of
the RI National Guard (and he is currently still at Ft.
Drum, NY). I think it is so important to show our support
even now, as things appear to be getting better. Just
thought you might like to pass this along to your listeners.
This info was passed on to us by the Family Readiness
Group (the Governor is also planning on being there).
Thanks for your continued support, and I enjoy listening
to your show!
Elaine.

I
thought you might like this as well, if you haven't seen
it.
BTW, I listen to Joel from Worcester on the sports radio
show in town all the time... he's a much of a moron when
talking politics as he is when talking sports.
A Grateful Briton
By London Daily Mail
London Daily Mail | March 14, 2003
Dear America, you quirky mix of 280 million misfits that
have somehow blended into the strongest nation in the
world, I write to offer you four apologies and two vows.
I, James Black, a European passport holder whose parents
are Scottish, whose wife is English, and whose four children
are free to be whatever they may want to be (directly
because of the sacrifice of your nation), am ashamed for
pointing out to a colleague while visiting your country
a few days ago that Winston Churchill was wrong when he
said the biggest difference between Britain and the United
States was the fact we both spoke the same language --
and instead, telling him that the real difference between
our peoples was actually about 100 pounds per person.
I, who work as a journalist with the Daily Mail, one of
Britain's national newspapers, and (directly because of
the sacrifice of your nation) is able to say exactly what
he wants whenever he wants without fear of death or imprisonment,
also apologize for saying to the same colleague that many
of the Americans I met were far less sophisticated and
worldly than Europeans.
I, James Black, a man born free of social or physical
shackles and chains, who is able to travel around the
world and visit other countries and who (directly because
of the sacrifice of your nation) is able to converse,
discuss, even argue with people from other nations, would
like to apologize for mocking your president and your
political system.
Your president may not be the sharpest knife in the cutlery
set, but I now understand he and the good people of the
United States operate not just from a high intellectual
stance, but also from the heart -- a heart that knows
the difference between good and evil. And importantly,
your president was smart enough to have picked the best
to sit with him at the world table.
I, whose friends, family and colleagues are allowed to
set up home, take a job, even run for politician, in any
part of the European Union (directly because of the sacrifice
of your nation) without being rounded up because of their
religion or shot on the spot for their place of birth
would finally like to apologize for the biggest mistake
the people of my continent have ever made -- their total
lack of respect for the greatest friend they will ever
have -- the United States of America.
My anger at some of my fellow Europeans is more than palpable.
I hear the self-centered, cowardly, and just plain annoying
words thrown out by old-minded -- old world -- so-called
leaders of the Free World.
I may have made fun of America and Americans, but deep
down I know this is only friendly banter between the greatest
of friends -- and friends who should give their all to
each other when called upon to do so.
So I, whose grandfather fought in both World Wars and
had the good humor to suggest the Americans were late
for both events, but the sense to point out they ensured
victory when they finally did show up, make my first vow:
I will never forget or dishonor the amazing and courageous
sacrifice of the people of the United States in coming
to the aid of the world over the past ten decades. The
men and women who left peace and prosperity in a land
of plenty to face bullet and shrapnel on the beaches of
Normandy and around the World.
I will honor the debt my small island nation owes for
your unswerving devotion to aiding our continued freedom.
Your help when we stood small and alone against the plague
of Nazi aggression. Your assistance in making us strong
when the battle was finished and the peace began, and
your protection from a colder enemy in the decades that
followed.
I have stood, and I will stand again, with my own family,
in places such as the cemetery of Colleville-sur-Mer,
an eternal resting place for over 10,000 teen and twenty-something
Americans who gave over ALL their future so that I and
my children could have a future today, and I will again
pledge my eternal gratitude.
I, James Black, a man who simply wants his children to
live in a future where all good and constructive things
are possible, a future where we can discover, invent,
enjoy, without fear of fanatics or madmen or the weapons
and pain they may wreak, pledge my assistance to the United
States in its fight against evil.
This is not brainwashed verse, but based on the honorable
history and proven friendship the United States has with
Europe.
Further, it is based on the fact that the people and leaders
of the United States have the foresight to see the world,
even life itself, is futile without someone to love, things
to build and create, and things to look forward to --
and none of these things are possible in a world awash
with nuclear, chemical and biological arms controlled
by those who despise the life we lead.
I am one person, but there are millions like me who thank
the USA and wish your nation and your people all the best
over the next few months -- and will be there by your
side when the times get tough.
Yours with all my gratitude,
James Black
Wychwood Park, Cheshire, England
P.S.: It is said that today is the tomorrow we worried
about yesterday. You should be proud as a nation that
you have something to do with the fact it didn't turn
out so badly after all -- nor should it again.
Regards,
Michael B. Smith

John,
Why is it that this goofball we have as the Attorney General
has time to come on the air hawking charities, but no
time to give us a progress report on the criminal investigation

Monopoly of freedom |
|
John;
Next time you have one of the people opposing the liberation
(not war with) of Iraq, ask them why they feel they have
a monopoly on freedom. If they were in the Iraqi people's
shoes, would they not want help get to gain their freedom.
God did not mean for only select people to be free. All
people have a right to be free and prosper. Those that
oppose our liberation of Iraq are selfish, spoiled pigs
wanting freedom onyl for themsleves.

thank the troops |
|
Dear
John,
First
I want to thank the troops. I am so proud of them. I could
not call because as I write to you tears flow down my
face. I thank GOD for letting us have a president like
George W. Bush. I pray every night for our military and
P.O.W.s. You had the mayor (of Cranston ?) on and he said
my thoughts. EVERYONE wants to live in peace. We have
people who fled from Iraq telling us how bad it is to
live there and still have people here questioning why
we are there. I believe they (peace protesters & celebrities
) live in a sheltered world. If they believe it isn't
that bad to live in Iraq & the U.S.A. is such a bad place
to live. Why don't they move to Iraq? I told my daughter
the only way the peace protesters & celebrities will believe
we found chemicals is if they got hit over the head with
a barrel of chemicals, even then they'd probably doubt
it. Once again I'd like to thank the troops and like to
see people who support the troops hang out their flag.
Thank you John for the great job you do. I'm addicted
to your show. GOD BLESS AMERICA
Sincerely,
Theresa

Anti-War Protests |
|
John:
You might want to show this to the "Peace" activist you
had on your show today. These people have to get a reality
check!!!! Maybe you could post this poem on the independent
message board for all to see! Judy Zaborowski GOD BLESS
AMERICA!
We got a letter from Josh today, if you could call it
that, written 3/9. They are hearing about the anti-war
protests and he was upset. That' s all the letter talked
about. He enclosed a poem he and his buddies wrote. He
wants us to get it out, let people see how they feel.
Any ideas?
"Wish
You Were Here" For all the free people that still protest.
You're welcome. We protect you and you are protected by
the best. Your voice is strong and loud, but who will
fight for you? No one standing in your crowd. We are your
fathers, brothers, and sons, wearing the boots and carrying
guns. We are the ones that leave all we own, to make sure
your future is carved in stone. We are the ones who fight
and die, We might not be able to save the world, Well,
at least we try. We walked the paths to where we are at
and we want no choice other than that. so when you rally
your group to complain, take a look in the back of your
brain. In order for that flag you love to fly wars must
be fought and young men must die. We came here to fight
for the ones we hold dear. If that's not respected, we
would rather stay here. So please stop yelling, put down
your signs, and pray for those behind enemy lines. When
the conflict is over and all is well, be thankful that
we chose to go through hell.

The big debate |
|
John,
Two questions for your leftwing guest.
About a week ago the leftists were reporting that we had
underestimated the fighting will of the Iraqi army and
citizens, and we had not sent in enough troops and the
war plan had failed. Now your guest tells us that we just
defeated a pure defenseless third world country.
My first question is this: How you can rationalize this
flip-flop and still keep a straight face?
Second: Why don't you just go home if you don't like it
here?

Celebrate??? |
|
John,
while your celebrating "freeing the Iraqi people"
the people that are responsible for 911 are laughing!
I will celebrate when we catch the ones that Bush said
were responsible for 911! Bin Laden and the Al Qaeda.
Altho I am happy to see that the Iraqi people are now
free, I will not be in a celebrating mood until the 911
culperts are cought! You seem obsessed with "freeing
the Iraqi people!
Most people didn't even know where Iraq was until GB dicided
to invade Iraq to Liberate them! Why such a big thing
now that GB decided that it was time to liberate the Iraqi
people! No one even knew or cared about the Iraqi people
until GB mentioned them! I think people are celebrating
that some people may have been wrong about the war rather
then that the Iraqi people are free! That would be sad!
I don't think that the relitaves of our servicemen that
have been killed in this war are celebrating!
I sincerly mean it when I say, did everyone forget about
911?

Iraq Declares Jihad on Michael Jackson. France
Upset |
|
John,
I'm a huge fan of the show. glad you enjoyed the French
Special Forces story that I wrote. Here is another one
that you might find amusing.
"The
Dancing Infidel"
US Intelligence reports that with defeat in sight, Iraqi
Nationals has found a new enemy and declared a "Jihad"
on the Jackson Family. Witnessing the demise of Michael
Jackson, many Iraqi's have turned there back on the "Gloved
One." Kazza Mohammad, an Iraqi soldier, states "its all
his fault. We became faithless and weak after we saw that
special." Omar Hussein a Lieutenant in the Iraqi Army
comments, "We are unclear what happened. In the late seventies
and early eighties, he showed great promise." "Thrill
was really the highlight of the "Jacko Phenomenon," but
it all went downhill after that." He solemnly states.
Historians noted that during the conflict with Iran in
the early 80's, Iraqi commanders would play such Jackson
favorites as "Beat it" or "Billie Jean" into Iraqi encampments
to boost soldier's moral. "We looked up to him as a prophet
of Allah," one anonymous Iraqi soldier comments, "He was
very official looking with his sequenced military apparel
and tight pants." Because of Jackson, Saddam made the
single glove, standard issue for all soldiers. He continues,
"I feel very cheated." Even the notoriously secretive
Iraqi Intelligence Service chimed in on the Jacko Demise.
One Intelligence Officer states, "Ever since he caught
fire and started hanging around the "little one" Emanuel
Lewis, he got very strange. It started with the with the
numerous nose jobs, then he befriended primates and the
final straw was his insistence on behaving like Peter
Pan ." (Please note: Peter Pan, the popular children's
book has been banned in Iraqi since Hussein came into
power, due to it's blasphemous portrayal of a blood thirsty
tyrant pseudo-sexual obsession with a young man in green
pants). Apparently, after witness the damaging Martin
Bashir special, Iraqi nationals were incensed and lashed
out at the whole Jackson family, specifically targeting
both Joe "the infidel" Jackson, (father of Jacko), and
Jermaine Jackson, (brother of the Wacko One) for their
meaningless existence. Joe Jackson was reached for comment,
but was incoherent. The fallout from the damaging Martin
Bashir interview, caused Iraq to loose their strongest
ally. On Monday, French President Jacques Chirac replaced
Jerry Lewis as the national hero, with that of "The Gloved
One", stating that "he seems like a very levelheaded,
reasonable man." Chirac concluded with saying, "is a model
for all French men and women."

Former Marine |
|
John,
I
am writing to let you know that I have been listening
to your show for about the last month. I am a former Marine
of 9 years and a Persian Gulf veteran. I currently serve
the community in a different manner, ( I still carry a
weapon). I have never called a radio show but after listening
for the last month or so I figured I would write. I don't
always see eye to eye with the civilian community but
I have to tell you that I could not agree with you more.
I listen to the clowns you have on the show like Rod Driver
and so on and I find their views extremely amusing. They
have no clue about combat or what the troops may be feeling.
I can assure you one thing, even the slightest protest
is heard by the troops over there and some times it can
be extremely demoralizing. There is no way not to support
the president and support the troops I don't care what
these pampered, liberal, protest anything that comes along,
no common sense having morons say. Yes, the have the freedom
to protest but they are protesting a cause which is more
then just noble it is heroic. If some of these people
could see first hand what these Iraqi soldiers did to
innocent Kuwaiti civilians they may just change their
mind. Let's just say the details are too gruesome to share.
As a veteran and a former Marine I am proud to say that
we have a president that will show the rest of the world
that we and the United States, the greatest country in
the world and any one that would dare to do our people
harm will suffer the same consequences and the Taliban
and the Iraqi Regime. The problem is the people who protest
(I.E., Brown University) are blessed with the money and
the SAT scores to go to the school but lack the common
sense to understand what is best for the United States
and the rest of the world. Saddam Hussein is something
that the world is better off without.
I
am proud of what our troops our doing and I am saddened
that I cannot join them one more time. Keep doing what
you are doing sir, it makes the people who have served
very proud. In closing I want to say, be proud to be an
American for we truly are blessed.
"Semper Fi" M.S.
