YOUR SHOW IS GREAT |
|
JOHN,
WITH
REGARD TO TEACHERS DO YOU KNOW HOW MANY WEEKS THEY GET
OFF DURING THE SCHOOL YEAR? ALSO, HOW MANY HOLIDAYS? ALSO,
HOW MANY SICK DAYS? AND HOW MANY SUMMER WEEKS OFF? I THINK
THIS SHOULD BE TOLD TO THE PUBLIC.
THANK YOU, PAUL

R.I. Pensions |
|
I
could not agree with you more about the various unions
in this state bankrupting not only the state as a whole,
but slso may of the cities. It is about time some one
stood up to the unions and took some benefits back, instead
of giving away more of the store.
I heard your show today, especially when the President
of the Teachers union said many citizens of the state
did not believe that teachers deserve the pay and benefits
that they receive today.
I can be counted in that number because I truly believe
that many of todays teachers are not effectively teaching.
kids are graduating that can hardly read, can't make change
unless the register tells them how much, and haven't the
faintest idea of how to balance a checkbook, all necessary
skills in todays world.
I am a retired Military member who served twenty years
in the U.S. Navy.
When I retired I was entitled to a pension of 55% of my
base pay based upon my actual time served, both active
and in the Reaserves. I have a co-pay on all prescription
drugs. I also receive a COLA increase each year based
upon the rate of inflation.
I don't see how you can be an effective teacher to young
adults and prepare them for life in the real world, when
you are living in never never land and trying to grab
more.
Thank you for your time. Robert Deady

Mayor of Providence... Gay? |
|
It's
obvious that the mayor is aware of the image that this
Fire Chief is causing in Providence... one thing that
came to mind. The mayor is gay... maybe someone has some
embarrassing photos of the mayor out on a date. Although
people are becoming more tolerant with the gay lifestyle...
there is still that sexual image between two men that
is hard to ignore.

Hillary will be President in '04 |
|
John,
Hillary will be drafted by the Democratic National committee
on the second ballot. None of the nine jokers will have
enough votes to get the nomination on the first ballot,
after that all bets are off. Hillary will not have to
get dirty in a primary, she is not running, she was CHOSEN
by her party and she will take the obligation and will
win. Most of your listeners will vote for her. Joanie
is living proof with her speech she read on 9 JUN 03.
She is a stereotypical, foolish, and emotionally gifted
Rhode Islander. People like her make this state so poor,
the government needs to bail them out.
I would prefer Bush, but the economy will do him in just
as it did his father, the MWD will be another subject
that will come back to haunt him. Bush will also put pressure
on DOD to pullout of Rhode Island because of our four
elected idiots in Washington D.C. Give the jobs to an
area that appreciate the Republican way of staying out
of peoples lives.
About Silver Lake that area was a dump in 1978 when I
was going to college, it still is a dump, I was at a meeting
with the Councilman from the area, one man said the best
thing is to get rid of zoning and tear it down. He also
said it cannot be a government project because it would
really become a ghetto.
Zoning is a problem that was indirectly related at The
Station Fire, an old building that was overinflated in
value that was "renovated" by the club owners
and was a 60 year old tinder box . The other problems
a corrupt town government and two idiot brothers who are
clueless and let's be fair a band that were losers and
their groupies trying to live in the past.

John,
I
was listening to your show today regarding the fire chief,
the mayor, etc., you were RIGHT ON! I agreed with you
100%. We all know if the average Joe pulled that kind
of s**t, they would've been waking up in a cell with a
huge knot on his head, not to mention legal fees, criminal
record, etc. I wonder how many other times has this happened
with this fire chief, without even getting reported?

Providence Fire chief |
|
Hi
John,
I do not understand this mayor. He wanted to get rid of
the Providence Police canidates because he did not like
the selection process. Yet he keeps this drunk fireman.
Remember a couple of months ago he wanted to create AN
INTREGRETY OFFICIER so Providence Worker would keep high
standards. Then he contredicts himself with the way he
is handling the fire chief.

Ann
Marie, I agree with you about the situation with mayor
Mollis. I'm just waiting for him to re-name a building
in N. Prov. after the deceased mayoral suck up Cheryl
Bozzi, ( I'm surprised she didn't get a front page tribute
in the North Star), she began her journey to town hall
way back when she was president of the PTA of her kid's
elementary school where she went around telling people
" I'm going to work in the mayor's office", & by golly
she did, beginning with the Mancini administration.

Who
was that big dope Rep. Almeida sent up to Judicial hearings
on Judge Suttell? This guy talked about the how the black

jail. What the hell does that have to do with judicial
nominations? (HELLO) Also, Almeida is doing a great job
as a Rep he stood up on the floor the other day and started
ranting a raving about talk show hosts he sounded more
like Cindy Adams. John, if you can get a copy of this
tape it is a riot, Almeida is cussing, and everyone in
the room is chatting away and laughing not even paying
any attention to this fool. Oh, by the way, there is one

Rogeree Thompson |
|
Rep.
Almeida,
I most certainly agree that Rogeree Thompson should be
sitting on the Supreme Court. Unfortunately Mr. Frank
Flaherty has her seat, not Judge Suttel.
Why didn't you protest the Flaherty appointment knowing
full well of his checkered past with Sen. Alves pension
deals? His lying about his involment with Sen. Alves during
a Gubernatorial debate with Bruce Sundlun? His lying under
oath to both the Judicial Nominating Committee and the
Senate Judiciary Committee?
I smell something here and it isn't roses.
In Massachusetts when someone lies under oath they get
censured, in Rhode Island they are appointed to the Supreme
Court.
You had your chance to be vocal and you conspicuously
remained silent. This sounds like partisan politics to
me.
Please grow up.

Why is Cicilline being given a free pass? |
|
I
have a question:
Why
is David Cicilline being given a "free pass" in Providence
when it comes to examining the actions of his administration?
When
Cicilline ran for office, he claimed he was going to be
a new kind of mayor. Yet, over the past six months, Cicilline
has appointed many people from his transition team et
al into high-paying city jobs.
For
example, several months ago Cicilline hired a new "Chief
Information Officer" even though there was already in
place someone with that job. Just recently, Lt. Ken Cohen
who ran the Personnel department in the Providence police
was transferred to run the new academy. His vacancy was
filed by City Hall, they appointed a woman from Cicilline's
transition team to be the new "civilian" director of personnel
for the Providence Police Department, with a salary in
excess of 80,000 per year.
These
positions, and many more like them, are being filled as
political patronage jobs when there are many qualified,
honest-working citizens in the City of Providence who
might be interested in working for the City and helping
to get it back on track. Yet, these positions are not
advertised, resumes are not collected, and the best-qualified
person is not appointed -- instead, these positions are
being given away to "political hacks" of the new Mayor.
The new Mayor said things were going to be different in
his administration... apparently the more things change,
the more they stay the same in the City of Providence.
Despite being publically available, the news media has
ignored these developments and have not called the actions
of the new administration into question. Why is that?
I
implore you to investigate these, and other events similar
to them, and bring them to light so the residents in the
City of Providence can demand better behaviour from their
elected officials.

% of illegal aliens in Prov school system |

Hi
John
I'm a longtime listener of your show and enjoy it very
much. Last week or the week before you had a show concerning
a bill being introduced that would allow illegal aliens
to attend the state colleges of RI at instate rates. During

of illegal aliens in the Providence school system is 70%.
Is this true? I do not dought you, but if I heard correct,
do you mind If I ask where you got the figures?

Committie acts on Emotion... |
|
The
Station fire was series of negatives all put together
at the worst possible time. The Pyro, the big crowd, the
lack of fire extinguishers, the bouncers pushing people
back in, the limited exits, and most of all, THE VERY
FLAMMABLE SOUND PROOFING. The special government committee
has totally OVER reacted. Emotional Nanny State mentality.
They all know, if the flammable sound proofing was not
their, NO FIRE. The committee, acting like drama queens,
wants everybody to have sprinkler systems. This will cost
many anywhere from 40 to 100 thousand dollars an establishment,
but it is an over reaction! They are short on guts. Long
on Political Correctness. Before they pass ANYTHING, they
should wait an reflect on their passions. The only thing
they should do is outlaw the use of the material that
shrouded that stage. They will hurt MANY for their over
reaction. Many businesses will close, because of government
ordering them to install sprinklers, but hey, we'll all
be safe, until we have a freak Hail Storm and someone
dies. We will then have to all wear helmets.... Tony.

Ann
Marie,
If you are not a real provincial Rhode Islander, I can
tell you some real nice places down south to live. I was
transferred by my company to come up here and what I could
get in housing for the money spent here is night and day.
I have a older home in a modest neighborhood here, where
I lived was the third best area in the city in a larger
newer house for less. It was around the nicest shops and
restaurants and had the best the city had to offer.
Best
of luck! I hope to race you out of Rhode Island. Last

Re: "Our arrogance... that's why we're here!" |
|
You
must think that you have authority on the words of the
English language; unfortunately, I disagree. In the English
language that I've learned, and speak exceptionally well,
calling a person stupid, is calling them names. This is
another problem with Americans, they have this idea that
they can customize everything, and everyone -- including
the English language -- how unfortunate! If I went to
China, or Mogadishu, and someone used a word that meant
stupid [in the English language], but meant something
else in their language, I would have to accept their interpretation;
because I would be in that country/region. The difference
here is, Americans claim to speak English, which they
don't... you better recognize! Calling a person stupid,
is calling them names.
Now you've stepped in another quagmire, calling me a non-Christian.
You people throw the word Christian around, like confetti...another
American misconception. No where in the world (since the
crusades) have the people used Christianity to do more
evil to others, than here in the United States. In this
country, Christianity has been used as a guise for killing
so many innocent people; including this last [greed ridden]
fiasco in Iraq. Thousands of people of African descend
have paid the ultimate price, under the guise of Christianity.
Innocent Muslims, and other religions have been persecuted,
and killed...under the guise of Christianity.
Christianity is supposed to be the religion of Jesus Christ;
yet you people [like the so called Evangelical Christians]
use your pretense of the religion to promote Caucasoid
superiority. You support the Jews (who I have no problems
with), but persecute every other religion..that whole
concept boggles the mind; since only Christians believe
in Jesus Christ as the son of God. In fact, wasn't it
the Jews that killed our Lord? What hypocrites!
Believe me sir/madamme, calling me a non-Christian is
no insult... it's a compliment! In my Christianity love
is the message; not hypocrisy, or greed. I thank God that
you didn't include me in your group... I would have a
real problem sleeping at night, knowing that I was in
a group with some of your great [so called] Christian
leaders; like Jerry Falwell, Pat Robinson, Bob Jones,
Bob Dornan, etc. I also make it a point not to judge people's
religious beliefs... I let God do that. You can call me
anything you want, challenge my true beliefs if you must,
but you better wake up. As I said in my original piece,
9/11 was only a prelude of things to come, from people
that we have and still continue to piss off... even if
our illustrious leaders plant weapons of mass destruction
in Iraq.
Maybe I'm not a Christian... are You?

Iraq |
|
I
listen to you each day at work and generally find myself
in agreement with your stand. However, today you made
a comment that I have to address, and that is that President
Bush would never lie to us.
Why do you think he is so different from any other President?
Even Ike denied that we flew spy planes over Russia, Nixon
lied about Watergate, Johnson lied about the Gulf of Tonken
incident and Clinton told so many it would be hard to
choose from them.
I don't believe the war against Iraq was necessary, Saddam
would have no reason to attack the U.S. as we would wipe
him out so quickly he wouldn't know what him.
Congress has completely abdicated its power to declare
war. Since our military has become all volunteer, the
college campuses have been notably quiet. If we did not
have the all volunteer military things would be much different.
As the joke currently making the rounds says, "The
weapons of mass destruction will be found just as soon
as FedEx or UPS wins the delivery contract.

Hillary!Treason is the reason! |
|
Independent
Man,
Heard only a little bit of your show on Hillary's book.
I hope you didn't spend all your time talking about the
totally unimportant matter of Bill the rapist, chasing
women. The fact that she would stay married to a serial
rapist and abuser of women is not by any means the important
issue.
It's John Huang, Charlie Tree, James Riady, the Lippo
group and it's too cozy relationship with People's Liberation
Army Commerce Minister Li Ka Shing. It's PLA Secret Police
Colonel Yang, and millions of dollars of Communist Chinese
money filtered through their treasonous hands into the
coffers of the Democrat National Committee, still run
by Hillary's pet, Terry McAulliffe.
Oh Hillary(and Bill) is a liar a perjurer, a fraud, an
extortionist. She is certainly complicit in the coverup
of Vince Foster's murder, if not actually involved. She
is many evil things. But you play into her hands when
you talk about the fat slut instead of the important thing.
That is treason and her plans to destroy this country
and make it a Marxist hell on earth.
There is also the fact that most top democrats have had
their pockets stuffed with Communist Chinese cash and
that the Chinese through their connections set up by the
Clintons, tried to buy and steal the election for their
next in line puppet, Al Gore, by flooding democrats with
tons of Chinese Communist money. His little Buddhist fund
raiser was just a tiny drop in a sea of foreign cash.
How close they came to stealing the country right out
from under us.
And don't think for a minute that when Hillary jumps into
the race, she won't be aided and abetted by an unlimited
amount of foreign (Marxist)money and have the support
of so many "usefull idiots" of the left like
Katie Couric et al. Please don't be one of them.
Don't think that all she'll do is socialize healthcare.
She is a beast, a monster. Should she ever gain power
she will make Stalin look like an underachiever.
John, it's not the lies and the bimbos,
TREASON IS THE REASON!

Patrick Lynch's Whine |
|
Hi
John,
I listen to you while I'm working, so I am unable to hang
on the line to speak to you. I was amused today (6/5/03)
when you were talking about the Attorney General's budget
problems. You mentioned that the Station Fire was monopolizing
the time of the staff at the Attorney General's and went
on to say that when the staff went to work they should
have anticipated some tough assignments. When you said,
"that is what they signed on for", I had to
chuckle. That is NOT what they signed on for. They signed
on for a cushy state job with benefits, perks, pensions,
etc. What a shame they have to work for their pay. You
should have asked the Attorney General if he wanted some
cheese with that whine. I don't know him from Adam, but
I have to tell you, from my observation, he is nothing
more than a typical RI political operative. If the staff
and the Attorney General are unable to handle the work
load, a two week notice will do nicely. Not only are there
people out here who would appreciate a job at the Attorney
General's office, I'm sure that the State could SAVE LOTS
of money by contracting out the entire Attorney General
Division. Poor Patrick, the little brat doesn't seem to
get it -- we're broke.
Thanks for listening.

Hi
John,
I just wanted to comment on the new seat belt law. You
definitely hit the nail on the head when you stated it
is another avenue for this state to generate money. Do
they really care about safety? I think the boys who make
up these bills are a) to put a feather in their hat and
b) it's all about money.
On another note, you are just too opinionated on Buddy
Cianci. We ALL have made mistakes in life. Some worse
than others. But, 99% of all politicians in this state
are dirty, Buddy just got caught. Let him rest. Share
your thoughts, but don't be so opinionated that you loose
focus of your purpose.
Take care and most of the time I enjoy your show.

auto seat belts |
|
I
strongly disagree with your position on the new seat belt
law for very selfish reasons. I'm not as concerned about
those people who kill themselves in auto accidents but
those who injure themselves especially the ones that have
such severe disabling injuries that they require extended
hospital care and even though they may have insurance
require that their hospitalization be paid by the state.
Also if they're hospitalized with insurance who pays for
it in reality? We do as well as the victim. your reasoning
if a person gets into an accident they have been forewarned
and have to suffer the consequences is fallacious. To
use an analogy, why put sprinklers in any venue? We have,
I hope, the consequences of not having sprinklers. Why
not just give the venue owners the choice of having or
not having sprinklers in the place? those that don't have
a sprinkler system in the place of business could just
have a warning sign at all entrances that say, THIS PLACE
DOES NOT HAVE A SPRINKLER SYSTEM! ENTER AT YOUR OWN RISK!

Bill 6315 |
|
John,
I was going to call you about this bill but was so upset
that I wouldn't have been able to speak for fear of breaking
down. My daughter, (separated for a year because she can
not afford a divorce) has been working 2 jobs to be able
to send her only child, a daughter, to RIC and the daughter,
(my grand daughter) that just finished her second year
with all A's, is working also. My grand daughter's car
broke shortly before xmas, it will be to expensive to
fix so my daughter let my grand daughter use her car and
my daughter is (still) using my husbands 1978 Chevy and
he uses my 1990 olds. My husband and I are 60 and 60+
and going without health insurance since I had to quit
work early (10 yrs ago) and my husband has diabetics +
a few other problems. This is a whole different story
and you wouldn't believe it. Anyway, I can write and call
my rep. about this bill but as I have found out, they
don't care about my opinion and they will do what they
want. (Reps.) I use my vote to express my objections but
when everybody does not band together it is like banging
your head against a wall.
Sorry this is so long but I am upset..
Thanks
for listening,
Carol Burrillville

John,
I just downloaded the bill Representative Tejada has introduced.
You've made no mention of the co-sponsors: Slater, Giannini,
Moura & Williams.
Not only should Tejada be contacted regarding this bill,
the sponsors should also.
Best Regards
Bob

Friday's Show |
|
Hi,
John! I'm a regular daily listener to your show, but can
never call in because I'm at work at that time. I just
wanted to commend you for the great show you had on today,
and also to let you know that I have sent two emails to
my State Rep. and State Senator to urge them TO VOTE AGAINST
THAT ILLEGAL IMMIGRANT COLLEGE TUITION BILL. What more
do these people want for free from this state and country?
Nine out of ten of them are not only on welfare, but,
as was mentioned on your program, THEY DON'T PAY TAXES,
AND THEREFORE DO NOT CONTRIBUTE TO THE SYSTEM THEY STEAL
FROM. Why in God's name should they get better opportunities
in RI than our children who were BORN here? Contrary to
what the sponsor of that ridiculous bill said, these foreigners
are NOT at a disadvantage here, they get more free services
than you or I will EVER see!!! It's a travesty!! And why
can't they learn English?? Why do we have to cater to
them by putting instructions and postings in Spanish?
When my grandparents immigrated (LEGALLY) here from Italy,
they learned the language of America or they were called
ignorant greenhorns! What makes Spanish-speaking immigrants
so special??! Well, my blood pressure is high enough,
so I'll stop there, John, but I wanted to let you know
how much I enjoy your show, and that if it weren't for
you today, I wouldn't have even KNOWN about that bill!!
Keep up the great work!
Sincerely,
G. LaMorge, Cranston, RI

As a Jew , my heart is broken |
|
In
these times of the extreme left wing, extreme liberals,
I must voice my heart . There is a special on P.B.S. about
Begra. Berga was a German prison camp, in World War Two.
A prison camp for only U.S. soldiers who were Jewish.
The Nazi`s did evil things to our men. No food, water.
Filth, disease, forced labor, horror. When they were finally
liberated, my Jewish American brothers MARVELED at the
tanks with the U.S.A. flag. One of the soldiers did not
want food ,yet he was starving. All he wanted was a gun
to track down the Nazi soldier who everyday beat him.
Today, I see my people -Lawyers with Jewish heritage,
whom would PROTECT the Rights of the Nazi soldier, if
it happened today. In fact, now PROTECTING the Rights
of Al Qaeda prisoners to have air conditioning in their
cells. Today, I see Jewish politicians who DEFEND the
RIGHT to burn the flag. Today, I see Jewish liberals in
the MEDIA who want to take away GUN Rights from citizens.
I see a people who have learned NOTHING from the history
their parents SUFFERED! There are Jews who love and believe
in the conservative way. We are silenced by the Politically
Correct who CRUSH us like a bug. This BUG is not dead
yet. Just by writing you I'm doing something.
Regards,
C.Cohen

Re: Fire victims 5/21/03 5/27/03 insurance |
|
Hey
Pal,
How much insurance do you have? A million dollar policy
will go a heck of a long way for the average family? Maybe
John and Arlene need to bring on Mike Keogh to explain
insurance since he is in the industry. You need to read
the letter again and learn to comprehend.

Hi John - Good Show Today |
|
John,
Let's face it our AG is a "dud". I didn't vote
for him either. He is arrogant and in the pockets of the
politically connected. No doubt about it.
Regarding the Mayor Mollis situation. I haven't heard
you mention the subject since last week. Did someone tell
you to "hush up" about it. I wouldn't be surprised.
You said someone sent you ticket/tickets to his next fundraiser.
That gesture was an "in your face" one or the
middle finger salute. They are bold and blatant with their
incestuous relationship. If you pick up the local paper
"North Star" (publication the same as the Observer),
his picture is in there for every senior and PR event.
Oh yeah, he is busy all right. Never saw him in the town
hall. He locks himself in his office with more security
than the Whitehouse.
This situation with fundraising and the police department
is an ethics violation and gives the implication of improprieties
big time.
This State is pathetic. Time to move south.

Re: Projo's Insensitivity 5/21/03 |
|
Ann
Marie, Look at Projo's help wanted ad's there are plenty
of jobs for women to earn pocket money. What is lacking
are jobs for males to support families on, it goes back
to one issue overregulation by the government at every
level. One example look what happened in Cranston with
Krispy Kreme Donuts, they were delayed for two years in
building their store. I wonder how many Dunkin Donuts
franchisees were paying the city council to block the
construction? I am exaggerating but I am not that far
off the mark, what happened in Cranston happens all over
the state. Businesses that will help benefit the state
will not come here because of this type nonsense. The
people here want another FDR type dictator to govern.
When you have that you get low paying jobs.

Regarding Martha |
|
John,
Sorry I am not a caller. In the 30 years that I have been
listening to talk radio, I have only called twice. I have
no gonads!!
I guess no one called to support Martha Stewart. It is
a shame that women in general cannot see that she is being
persecuted. Practically all the women that I talk to about
Martha claim that "they cannot stand her". I
am a fan. Men are not criticized when they have determination
and drive to succeed, but women are and are hated by other
women and it is viewed as "monstrous" as villains.
This is the problem with my gender: jealousy, cattiness
and pettiness. What is her sin/crime? Unloading her losing
stocks in that pharm company. Who gave her the information
and who did the deed? Look at Enron (all men) and the
other big companies (i.e., Global Crossing, WorldCom),
did we despise them and their dirty deeds. Pigs and creeps
as far as I am concerned.
I loved the layout of her magazine. Can't afford to subscribe.
I love her show. It is very informative. I like her style.
How many women, other than Madonna, can market their talents
to such financial heights.
Quote from Germaine Greer that I got from a daily calendar
some years back: "Women fail to understand how much
men hate them. Or, for that matter, even how much other
women do!" This quote has been on my refrigerator
since July 15, 1998, because I believe it to be true.
John love your show and your style.

RADIO SHOW!!!!! |
|
Dear
John, first time, longtime listener, I find your program
very entertaining and informative. Listening to you at
work, make it fly buy faster. I really find it entertaining
when Joaney the voice of reason, calls your show, reads
from her BOOK!!!, sets us all straight, puts us on the
straight and narrow, then she starts to SING!!!! . makes
us all laugh. Think she has the HOTS!!!! for you John.
You should have on THE BEST OF JOANEY SHOW!!!!!! The same
when Walter Miller is on your show and he start to SING!!!
. think you have alot of patience, we agree with everything
you talk about on your SHOW!!!!

Glenn Mederios |
|
I'm
glad you mentioned this guys name. When I am channel surfing
at home there are three shows I will stop and goof on
they are Gilligan's Island,Gomer Pyle and Glen Mederios.
Just to give you an idea of what kind of joke this show
is, one night he had Colonial Pare from the Rhode Island
State Police for the whole hour he called Colonial Parr
he must have thought he was Jack Parr. The show gets real
funny when he try's to start operating the speaker phone.
I love when he starts asking a serious question to a panelist
like what is your favorite vegetable.

The
Honorable John Harwood did a commercial for the premier
clothier to the Spacones. Rumor has it he received a free
orange shirt and a pair of red shoes. That joint makes
Monticello's look like Brooks Brothers. It would appear
Spardellos is targeting the market of PIMPS and DRUG DEALERS,
hence the perfect spokesman, John Hardwood .

Please read the philosophy of the Republican party and
I don't mean like Chaffee or Caceri. I mean real members
of the party J.C. Watts, Kay Bailey Huthecison, Orin Hatch,
Dick Armey, Tom Delay, Dr. Frist, Fred Thompson, then
the old timers Howard Baker, Ronald Reagan, Alan Simpson.
I would also include Mitt Romney if he can turn the Kennedy
hell called Massachusetts around and make it fiscally
responsible, I would suggest most New England Catholics
become Mormons.
