Dave Kane Candidate for Attorney General
Subject: Appointment of Special Prosecutor
Contact: Dave Kane 401-938-2606 / dkane41@cox.net
On April 14, 2004 I announced my intention to run for
the office of Attorney General for the state of Rhode
Island. That evening, during a report on my candidacy,
WJAR T.V. reported that although I may be eligible to
run, I may not be ineligible to serve in the office. Jim
Martin, News manager for Ch. 10, told me that they had
checked with a constitutional lawyer who believed that
I may not be allowed to take office. I immediately contacted
a professor of law at the Roger Williams Law School. That
professor has assured me that the Rhode Island constitution
overrides all other laws.
Since
it will be my intention to act more as a manager or administrator
in the office of Attorney General and not to practice
law, I want to reiterate my announcement to run and win
the office of Attorney General.
In
relation to this, let me address another important issue.
In my travels speaking with voters, it has been pointed
out to me that because of my personal loss in Station
Nightclub fire any investigation into that fire while
I was Attorney General, could be perceived as a conflict
of interest.
To
put this concern to rest, I am making the following announcement.
My first official act as Attorney General will be to appoint
an independent, special, prosecutor to look into every
detail of the Station Nightclub fire. This special prosecutor
will have complete autonomy and the full weight of the
Attorney General's office. He will be charged with finding
everyone responsible for this horrendous event and to
bring these people to justice.

BC Board: Stiff-Arming the community |
|
So,
the Board of Director's at Blue Cross don't want "Sugar
Daddy Ronnie" to leave? Is anyone surprised? Why
would anyone bite the hand that freely hands out corporate
welfare payments?
There is more going on here, John. The Board is obviously
trying to hide something. I believe what we have seen
so far is just the tip of the iceberg.
They obviously think their little clubhouse is impervious,
and no one will crack the shell of secrecy.
We will see.
Remember, pigs don't snack.

Medals vs ribbons |
|
John,
Sorry small mistake . I guess they do give medals for
marksmanship and it is Meritorious Unit Commendation.
Here is the website that will give you the order of preference
for ribbons and medals as of 1999 there are some new ones
but most of these were around when Kerry was in. Note
that some of these are Ribbons only.

Veterans at RI State House, Yesterday |
|
Hello
John, Bellow is an open letter I just sent to some of
my Vietnam veteran friends and to the news paper publisher
"Rick Wilson". I told Rick, as I'll tell you, may use
this as a news item or send it out to any paper you would
like as an editorial. Please feel free to make any factual
or grammatical corrections. Cliff Chappell and I greatly
appreciate your support by going to the airways with your
report yesterday.

-----------------------------------------
Last
week a bunch of old, left over hippies, trying to relive
their glory days, got a bunch of naive high school students
and demonstrated in front of our State House in RI. They
got our American flag and publicly washed it to remove
all the war crimes and pain they say America has inflected
on the rest of the world off it. The group then laid our
flag on the ground. When asked to pick the flag off the
ground by a veteran who works in the State House, they
gave him the finger and called him a fat ...... .
Yesterday, two members of the Marine Corps League and
I went to Providence and quietly marched up and down in
front of State House. I wore full VFW uniform and the
other two (Korean War Veterans) wore their Marne Corps
League uniform. We had gotten the idea the night before
at a meeting. We carried one large American flag and placed
12 smaller flags on the long wall in front of the State
House. When asked what we were demonstrating against we
said, "Nothing, we just want to show our pride and
love for our country, our flag and our support of our
troops in Iraq. We also want to show our support of our
Commander in Chief."
The Capital police all gave us the thumbs up and passing
cars and trucks did the same and tooted their horns. We
were about to leave and started picking up our flags and
we were joined by a Marine Vietnam Veteran. He said he
heard what we were doing on the John Depetro radio show
and DePetro was encouraging people to join us. We stayed
another hour.
The new fellow asked me if I would like him to carry the
big American flag for a while. I said, "if you would
like". He said he would be honored to carry our flag
and he has never carried the flag at an event before.
He ordered us to keep on his left when got out of line
and at the end of the day, when we rolled up the flag
on it's pole, he kept straightening it out so it was perfect
when done. He gave a nice salute to the flag and we were
done.
As I stated earlier, we were against nothing. There was
no signs, banners, yelling, shouting or confrontation,
just a small group of patriotic Americans showing proper
respect for our flag, our country and our Commander in
Chief.
It was a nice sunny morning and we got the same fresh
air and exercise as a person would playing a round of
golf. It cost nothing to do and we feel good about doing
it. We have decided to do the same thing next Thursday
morning from 9 AM until noon (weather permitting).

homosexual marriage |
|
You
don't get it John. Homosexuals want to bond and be accepted
as all humans do. Why wouldn't they? They're influenced
by society. They have the same hopes, dreams and desires
as the remainder of the population. Where did you come
up with the bit that marriage is created for child bearing
only? If that was so, childless married couple would be
shunned in out society which simply isn't so. Get over
your homophobic attitude already. Life has a way of settling
the score with close minded individuals. There is a good
chance one of your children will be gay. Do you want him
or her to feel the sting of prejudice? Smarten up you
fool!

Your steadfast support of my Commander-in-Chief and your

Walmart comment |
|
Hi,
I am related to a Bake Shoppe Manager for Super Stop &
Shop. All too often he and his co-workers discuss the
treat of Walmart becoming too big, too fast, and taking
quality, fair wage jobs from people in the service industry.
Aside from the elderly workers, illegal aliens, and immigrant
mobs that either shop or work in Walmart, the real threat
is the corporate stand Walmart has taken against the use
of Union workers. This is truly irresponsible behavior
from a company who states that they care about the community
and it's people, especially it's employees.
Non-union workers= low wages and little to no health benefits.
You may have to pay more for items at establishments who
employ union workers, but such wages sustain the economy,
truly help families and give all employees a voice against
employer abuse, (ie. Fair wages, benefits, time off, grievance
policies, and safety measures).
Walmart makes millions each year. Why can't they offer
Union policies to their employees? Basically, all they
want to to is get rich while sucking the employees and
costumers dry.

Good
morning, John.
I
only have one question. HOW do you "inadvertently" use
an entire first paragraph from another writer's article
for your own?!? What is that: a cut-and-paste in error?!?
Instead of just apologizing.... Now, it's just another
example in a long line of recent examples where the person
unmasked is always blameless. Can't figure that out!
Loved
all the blonde jokes this morning -- I wish I'd written'em
down! "Elizabeth" from Narragansett is way out of control.
It was perfectly harmless -- not offensive in the least,
to either Christians or blondes!
I'm
just surprised "Joel" hasn't weighed in on this yet....
Have
a great day, John.

The quote of the century |
|
"Remember," he said, "we're dealing
with people who are not the best experts in dealing with
money."
John, as you read the above quote try not to laugh out
loud. The quote comes from a dottering old fool named
Thomas Slater, a member of the Rhode Island House of ill-REP-ute.
Mr. Slater is one of the many party apparatchiks who infest
and infect the Rhode Island Statehouse. These apparatchiks,
who are mindless lemmings of the immoral Democratic Party
of Rhode Island, are directly responsible for the crumbling
infrastructure, polluted bay, poor public education system,
horrendous health insurance monopoly and sky rocketing
taxation levels found in our once proud state.
Mr. Slater and those of his ilk are hardly in a position
to lecture even a welfare wank about the proper handling
of money.
Talk about the pot calling the kettle black!! Funny quote
isn't it??
And what makes it even funnier is that Mr. Slater serves
on the House Finance committee. The very same House Finance
committee which is made up of morons, megamorons and the
minions of morons that no right thinking person would
let anyhwere near their children's piggy bank. These people
couldn't manage their way out of a paper bag yet we're
stuck with their horrendous budgets every year.
The context of the quote of the century can be found in
the ProJo article I've posted below. John, this state
is already down and continues to sink fast. If anyone
truly loves this state they'd better start paying attention
and making their voices hear this November. If not then
get ready to sell your property and move because the only
people who will be able to afford living in Communist
RI will be the illegals who've already taken over Providence,
Pawtucket, etc. and the apparatcheks who buy their votes
with the entitlement programs WE pay for through our taxes.
And on an even more serious note John, pray for Governor
Carcieri.
Our fine Governor is fighting the good fight against some
truly evil elements among us. Those evil elements don't
like their hold on power and their authority being challenged.
As these power struggles build in the coming months I
truly fear for our Governor's well being. I'm hoping the
Governor will take some stress management classes for
himself and I hope the Staties who chauffeur him grow
eyes in the back of their heads. Things are getting quite
nasty around here and it's only going to get worse. I
have genuine fear for the Governor's health and not just
from internal stresses.
The gravy train has ended but the dogs who've fed off
it for years won't go down without a ugly and vicious
fight.
Linda
North Kingstown
Welfare cuts too costly, panel told In testimony before
the House Finance Committee, advocates for the poor and
homeless say that in the long run, Governor Carcieri's
proposals will cost more than they save.
01:00 AM EDT on Tuesday, April 6, 2004
BY SCOTT MAYEROWITZ
Journal State House Bureau
PROVIDENCE
-- Governor Carcieri's proposed cuts to the state's welfare
and child-care programs would target the "most vulnerable
and poorest people in our state," Eric L. Hirsch,
a sociology professor at Providence College and member
of the Rhode Island Coalition for the Homeless, said yesterday.
Hirsch and other social advocates told the House Finance
Committee that while the proposed cuts might appear to
save money, in the long run they will cost the state,
particularly through the opening of more shelters for
the homeless and a higher prison population.
"Not only is it the morally wrong thing to do . .
. it is also going to cost the state more money than we
save," Hirsch said.
The proposed change that brought the most anger was a
plan to eliminate payments to people who fail to comply
with their employment plan, under the Family Independence
Program, Rhode Island's version of welfare-to-work.
The employment plan is a personalized set of guidelines
regarding what actions a person is going to take to get
off welfare, including what job-training or educational
programs will be taken.
Currently, a parent with two children would receive $554
a month from the Family Independence Program. If parents
do not comply with their work plan, their monthly payment
drops to $449. It stays at $449 for the first two years
of noncompliance.
Each six months for the next two years, there are gradual
reductions, to the point where someone who has been noncompliant
for four years would be receiving $407 a month.
Under the governor's proposal, the drop from $554 to $449
would remain for the first 12 months of noncompliance.
But after that first year, Carcieri is proposing to completely
eliminate the family's payments. The payments would only
be restored if the parent comes into compliance with his
or her plan.
About 14,150 families now receive assistance through the
program. Out of those, about 870 would have 12 months
of noncompliance by July 1, according to estimates by
the Department of Human Services.
"In the majority of these cases, the adult will not
even come in and talk to us about an employment plan,"
said Human Services Director Jane A. Hayward.
The department expects the move to force only one out
of every five noncompliant people to comply. The rest
would be cast off the welfare roles, saving the state
about $4 million next year.
Rick Harris, executive director of the state chapter of
the National Association of Social Workers, said there
are not enough caseworkers to properly help people and
those in place average 26 minutes a month with each Family
Independence Program recipient.
When asked by the committee about the number of workers,
Hayward said, "Could we do more if we had more? Absolutely."
Given the number of authorized staff, "we are doing
the best we can," she said.
Heidi Keezer, director of Rhode Island Parents for Progress,
complained that letters sent to people informing them
of sanctions are in confusing legal language. Hayward
said her department tries to do a preliminary letter with
clearer language.
Carcieri has already eliminated a $50-per-month payment
to parents on welfare who have been awarded child support.
The last of these checks went out March 31.
Another proposed change would reduce the number of families
qualifying for state-subsidized child care.
Currently, families with incomes of 225 percent of the
federal poverty line or below are eligible for child care.
Carcieri is proposing to change the income threshold to
200 percent or less. This would save about $4 million.
Roughly 13,800 children currently receive state-subsidized
child care. The Poverty Institute at Rhode Island College
estimates that 925 would no longer qualify under the proposed
change.
Jennifer Lang of the institute said 10 percent of the
families who would lose child care would be forced back
onto the welfare rolls, costing the state about $550,000.
Additionally, she said that for each dollar the state
takes out of child care, it loses $1.75 in economic activity
-- a $7-million loss in this case.
Elizabeth Burke Bryant, executive director of Rhode Island
Kids Count, said the child-care program helps families
transition from welfare to work.
"We are seeing these families succeed," she
said. "Now is not a good time to be rolling back
the rug on these people."
Human Services and Carcieri are also proposing a pilot
program in which people receiving Family Independence
Program assistance could forgo six months of payments
in exchange for an up-front, one-time payment equal to
three months of their usual payment. The money could be
used in a "family crisis" situation to pay large
bills, such as a major car repair, Hayward said. The voluntary
program would only apply to people who have a guarantee
of employment in the near future.
Rep. Thomas C. Slater, D-Providence, was concerned about
companies that promised jobs still being around when the
lump-sum payment ran out. He also said one big cash infusion
might not be the best thing for people who don't plan
for the long term.
"Remember," he said, "we're dealing with
people who are not the best experts in dealing with money."

WalMart |
|
Hi,
I am writing regarding your show on Wal Mart. Although
I cannot call, I am compelled to write about this. I grew
up in Queens New York and I am used to small grocery stores
and pharmacies, etc. I should also say I lived in Europe
for 7 years, my husband is german. We now live in R.I.
We do not like Wal Mart whatsoever, I have to admit that
I have been there, but always left with a disgusted feeling.
It sounds bad, but I cannot stand lack of quality and
abundance. I appreciate quality and my feeling is that
people in the U.S. love the abundance, they don't value
quality and they love cheap and to accumulate lots of
junk from stores such as these. Thanks for your attention.

Blond joke |
|
hi
John, Check out this "Blond Joke"
A
blond, a brunette, and a redhead all work in an office
along with their female boss. The ladies noticed that
their boss leaves the office everyday at 11:30 and never
returns and never calls the office. The ladies decide
to all leave work early. The brunette goes shopping, has
a facial, and goes home to cook a nice meal for her husband.
The redhead goes to the gym, has a great workout, and
goes home to prepare for a heavy date. The blond decides
to go home, she enters her house and hears muffled sounds
coming from her bedroom. She carefully opens the door
and sees her husband in bed with her boss. She backs out
and leaves. The next day, the ladies are comparing stories
from the previous day. The brunette tells of her great
day at the mall, the spa, and the meal she had cooked.
That was great, let's do this again. The redhead agreed
after her great day at the gym and a wonderful date. The
blond says to them, "what are you crazy?" I got home after
work and found my husband in bed with our boss. "Wow,
what did you do?" said the other women. I got the hell
out of there before I got caught.

Loved
your show on Frank Montanaro.."It's NOT A WONDERFUL LIFE"
and Frank's negative influence on those who live in Rhode
Island. Montanaro should have been implicated and tried
in the PLUNDERDOME trial. Montanaro had the AFLU buy that
huge brick building on South Main Street in Providence
from the short time owner Frank Corrente.. who had grabbed
it from a man who was dying from cancer. Corrente probably
snagged the building in a permit issue then offered to
do the dying owner a favor, since Corrente operated that
way.

Blue Cross Spin Doctors |
|
John:
Today's Journal writes about Blue Cross on the Front page
(April 9, 2004)
I see you comment about it on your website.
The spin doctors are working overtime:
1) They say that the board members are paid relatively
low compared to other Blue Cross boards. NOT ALL BLUE
CROSSES ARE THE SAME!!! Many are FOR PROFIT. Check out
www.anthem.com You will see that they operate in many
states and they have INVESTOR information.
2) How could the board salaries be "erroneously"
reported? Now they are much lower? That seems like a major
mistake, dont you agree?
3) Has Blue Cross stated how much they are paying these
consultants / spin doctors?
4) How did Battista pay for his 500k house in Florida?

Hey
John,
So now the payoff for 600 jobs going offshore to India
and 3/4 of a billion dollars going out of the state to
Perot Systems over the next 10 years has been made. Ron
gets a huge bonus, car and most of his loan forgiven,
the rest of his executive cronies get equally excessive
base pay and bonuses, and labor gets to lead the board.
The only thing all those people of Rhode Island who built
BCBSRI get is BS from the Boston spin doctors they've
hired. I'll bet spin doctors don't have to wait months
for their payments or only get pennies on the charge dollar...
No names, please...

we are at war |
|
Hi John:
I was listening to your show today and was so pissed at
people that are so ignorant that they don't realize that
we are at war and have been since 9/11. They don't understand
that we didn't declare war on any one they declared war
on us and we had no choice but to respond. The only thing
that I disagree with is that we are fighting this war
like we are walking on egg shells. When they declared
war on us they didn't strike military people and positions
they hit innocent people that couldn't fight back but
as soon as we make a mistake and take innocent lives In
Iraq the world calls us animals well I have seen a few
wars in my 67 years and that's what happens in war. Keep
up the good work for us who understand John.

Hi,
John! I just wanted to let you know that I've contacted
both my Cranston Reps to voice my absolute DISGUST with
the Battista situation at BC/BS. Does the thievery and
shafting of taxpayers and subscribers NEVER END in this
state??? Also, I watched the Channel 10 news at 6pm tonight

and they reported that BC/BS has now hired a public relations
firm out of Boston to help whitewash the Battista "loan"
fiasco, to try to make BC/BS look better to us (FAT CHANCE,
GOOD LUCK!!)
Excellent

I enjoy listening to your show... and especially the discussion
recently re: the DePrete pension. Ironically I recently
had occasion to stop in at Newport Grand -- and we saw
DePrete there... A friend of mine who works there says
he is there 4-5 days a week... always looking very discheveled!!!
I am wondering if you have ever heard that he is a gambler;
it could explain some of his need for some extra cash
here and there.
Keep up the good work...
Keep the crooked politicians on the defensive... it is
truly getting very discouraging to live in this state..
I love RI so much - but the politics here are appalling.

ridiclous laws this state is setting us up for. When are
they going to realize without cigarette tax we would go
under. They want their cake and eat-it-too, this crap.

Hello John |
|
John
as a fellow native Rhode Islander and fellow once a RIC
student and fellow guy of italian heritage, I must commend
you on your efforts to try to expose and clean up corruption
in what is otherwise is a great state. I made the argument
while a student at Lasalle back in the late 80s and a
Poli Sci Man at RIC that Rhode Island is truly a great
state but with the established "old boy" institution well
in place in the big bureaucratic rhode island state government
its nearly impossibile to change the system only join
it. So my question to you is with the Governors of the
past like Diprete then our buddy Sunlund then of course
good ole Almond now Cacieri why my friend does corrurtion
still run rampant in State Government? We had all the
causes like operation clean government, the rallies at
the state house back in the early 90s after RISDIC debacle
why does corrution still exist why does this state still
want to bleed and squeeze every dime out of the great
residents of Rhody?
PS I like your pics some good pics in the photo gallery,
i am about 5 10 so u are about my height, but Janet Reno
and Myrth are two tall
Tootsies LOL.

Thomas Shumpert and BCBS |
|
John:
Has anyone thought to question Thomas Shumpert, the former
Director of the DBR? I think he has a cushy job at Roger
Williams University now. In any event, he was at the helm
of the DBR before Ms. McConahy. Shumpert was in that position
prior to the demise of Harvard and Tufts, and stayed until
I think, 2002. He was there when the Almond Administration
got the sweet-heart deal from BC for the state contract.
HMMMMM--I wonder if he remembers anything?

Blue Cross Scandal AND Pucky |
|
Hi
John:
Do you really think that Little Legs Irons was making
money off Tom Ryan and Ron Battista without Pucky knowing
about it ? Do you think he looked the other way as Irons
was doing on the JCLS Piggy Bank CheckBook? Or was Pucky
actually getting his end through Cuzz McKinnon?
It boggles my mind that the crooked court system in this
State continues to keep that JCLS checkbook closed to
public scrutiny. Is the Projo trying hard enough? One
thing is for sure, you are not naive and therefore know
that Pucky lurks behind every crooked deal in Rhody. Can
you say "Louie Yip"?
BTW, there is redemption..... I finally have forgiven
you for your support of Zipperman Boy AG Lynch against
Bill Harsch in the last election; but keep up the fight
please.

YOU CAN NOT HAVE IT BOTH WAYS |
|
A
caller named Wendy told you that "you can not have
it both ways". She was responding to your efforts
to hold to your belief that marriage is for one man and
a woman. She is correct. Trying to hold on to political
correctness at the same time trying to hold to your belief
in marriage will not work! They will not let you have
it both ways. I believe that all of Gods people are created
equal. What I do not believe is the premise that any body
is born gay. Human beings is what we are. Sexual preferences
are what we choose. As you have stated many times, it
is not normal for a man to choose to have sex with a man
or a woman with a woman. To validate gay behavior as a
legitimate lifestyle is a cop-out.
They have worked very hard to get acceptance of their
homosexual preference as a legitimate way to live. Unfortunately
they have had quite a lot of success because of the silent
majority. Ask yourself; Do I believe it is OK to be GAY?
Do I want my children to be taught that IT`S OK TO BE
GAY? My answer is a resounding NO!

Blue Cross: "Huge fraud" case will put them out
of business "unless" |
|
Dear
John:
Enjoy your program. Have been following Blue Cross/CVS
scandal over last 2 months or so. Thought the fraud case
would have been exposed by now. It appears everyone is
trying to cover up this bombshell. I watched Arlene Violet
expose the big boys some years ago only to be hatcheted
by the powers that be. I hope your efforts have more success,
the same big boys still control the game today, they are
just older and foxier.
What was the real motive of buying off Irons, Celona,
DBR and many others to secure a$ 300,000,000 + reserve
account with goal of 22% slush fund. Why hasn't the Governor
spoken out? Is he trying to distance himself from you?
The Providence Journal, just a week or so ago, raised
the issue of BlueCross undercutting other Insurers a few
years ago to grab elderly and put competition out of business
and:
" entering into agreements with policy holders whereby
policyholder agrees
to pay 20%+- of costs and Blue Cross pays 80% of costs
for medical costs
when in fact they did not pay vendors 80% of costs."
I was informed by a very high and reliable source in the
judicial system about a year ago that a class action suit
against Blue Cross was initiated 1 to 2 years ago and
is proceeding "very quitely" charging them with
"Criminal Fraud" for entering into agreements
whereby they agree to pay 80% of costs for medical service,
when in fact they have negotiated with doctors, hospitals
and pharmacies to pay 50 to 60% of costs in violation
of agreements with policy holders.
It is the opinion of my source that Blue Cross cannot
win this suit and will be put out of bussiness unless
they settle this case for big numbers. It is also my belief
that Blue Cross Board of Directors, past and present,
know of this suit, and agreed to have legislature lobbied
certain powerful legislators to pass legislation which
would allow Blue Cross to build up a reserve to settle
this case when required. (the weakest link is small business,
charge them for costs)
In effect Blue Cross stole from Peter and is still steeling
from Peter to pay Peter back for the first theft, thus
eliminating the need for Paul. The rumor that "reserve
cushion" for buy out is "cover up". My
opinion is that Battista and boys knew suit would come
out soon and took whatever they could from Paul before
Peter found out about the scam and Blue Cross became "
insolvent", which DBR is so worried about.
If one listened closely to hearing last night (3-30-04)
wherein DBR testified: the message was "dire concern
that Blue Cross have a 22% cushion": subtract 22%
from 80% and one comes up with the magic number of 58%
which is about the number Blue Cross actually paid there
vendors and which they will be required to pay back.
Sincerely:
another deep throat

Blue Cross and double dipping |
|
John:
I just have a few comments as a result of the info in
the last fews days via the media.
I tuned into the State interconnect on Thursday, and saw
some of the testimony of "Moe, Larry and Curly"
from the DBR. Such pathetic responses to the questions
posed. Someone should let Rollin Bartlett know that it
is not appropriate to roll ones eyes to a question when
on T.V. Most unattractive. He has been employed at DBR
for 30 years? Maybe it is time to retire.
The Governor has finally spoken out. Too late. So many
missed opportunities. In January, 2003, Ron Battista made
a courtesy call to the Governor to inform him that BC
signed a contract with Perot Systems (H. Ross Perot) to
take over all of the I.T. functions. Ronny boy "assured"
the Governor that all 650 BC employees being herded over
to Perot would be given a guarantee of employment of five
years. Well, slowly but surely, employees who were hard
workers, knowledgeable and good, decent people are loosing
their jobs with Perot. They had been with BC for a number
of years, and had the experience to run the place while
Ronny and the Gang went off to play. They are all being
replaced with kids just out of school. Also, rumor has
it that Perot will be out-sourcing to foreign countries.
So, just maybe the Governor got taken by "Blue Eyes"
Battista?
So, Frank Montinaro has been on the BC Board since 1991?
The big labor union leader? Well, how come whenever a
union attempted to speak to BC employees, the union was
squashed. Blue Cross employees were virtually threatened
in indirect ways if they were seen accepting information
from the union reps outside the building.
When Myrth York was running for governor the last time,
Battista's office sent a company wide e-mail "urging"
employees to make the right choice, and not to vote for
those who were "attacking" BC. Wouldn't have
anything to do with Myrth's lawsuit about releasing the
records about the deal between BC and the Almond administration
and the coverage for State employees, would it?
And now, the most blatant double-dipping: The subscribers
have already been screwed by BC. Now, according to the
Journal, BC will receive an $11 million fee to service
the claims of State employees? That is in addition to
the premiums. So, the taxpayer gets screwed twice. Our
taxes pay state employees (who also pay taxes) to fund
the lifestyles of the pigs and famous.
Finally, keep the everyday workers at BC in your prayers.
They are the ones who truly do the work. They are all
embarrassed to say they work at BC, and would leave in
a heart beat if they could.

Blue Cross Budget Info |
|
Dear
John,
Listening to the Blue Cross spokesman telling you repeatedly
that he didn't know the budget figures for any of the
items you asked about is reminiscent of the various reruns
of Hillary Clinton denying that she knew anything about
her brother's involvement in arranging for Presidential
pardons with Bill Clinton.

Patrick Lynch |

Dear John,
I have been wondering for the past couple of days if the
little "chickie" who just quit her job was the very same
one whose job was tailor made for her when her credentials
didn't meet the job specs??? Was she some sort of liason
between the AG's office and the State House?? If so, it
is she. I heard about her many months ago and I'm surprised
it took him so long to get "caught"-if you know what I
mean.
I just love how you are right on top of things!!!! Keep
it up--you and Arlene are the BEST! CCB

Re: Re: Who is Cynthia Stern? (Independent Report)
3/31/04 |

It may have taken me quite a while to figure this but,,,,,
is it just plain coincidence that these 2 happen to be
at the YMCA in Barrington at the same time on several
occasions?? Right- ma and pa in law live in Barrington--Probably,
"just more convenient" for the AG-- Surely, there is no
place closer to his home to get some exercise--
