The Independent
Man is heard weekdays from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. It is a call-in
radio talk show which features the news of the day. The
topic is whatever is the most current and talked about
story.
Many people
who listen to The John DePetro Show list the program as
their number one source of news. All different opinions
and perspectives are welcomed. People are identified by
their first name and city. This is done on an honor system.
The Independent
Man stands for "freedom of expression" in Rhode Island.
He is a lone figure looking down from the dome above the
statehouse, keeping watch over his state. The Independent
Man is neither a Democrat or Republican. His only allegiance
is to the people of the state. The John DePetro Show is
fast paced, lively, and never dull.
